Digital Rights Management (DRM) is the most used protection for music and audio products. It limits the use of such files to certain devices, media, or computers. DrmRemoval transforms DRM-protected files, allowing users to fully enjoy them without the protection limitations.
It converts Napster, iTunes, Yahoo Music, and MSN Music into free-to-use files. It can also be used for CD Ripping. One very useful function is file extraction and conversion, directly from iPod or mobile phones. ID3 tags are retained, which eases a lot the file management after conversion.
File conversion is pretty simple; to add source files, you have both drag-and-drop and browse options. There are no limits on the files that can be added, and conversion status is displayed below the queue. There is even an option called "Hot folder", which allows to queue for conversion all the files found in a certain folder. Video file conversion is done pretty much the same, by simple dragging or browsing. Converted files can be burned on disks from within the application, which is pretty handy.
With all these options and features, DrmRemoval is definitely a useful application, but I doubt it deserves the price tag of 35$. |
